The following poem was written by a
young lady, Denise, who has been struggling with anorexia.
She kindly agreed for it to be placed
on our web site.
To Ana, Good - Bye
To Ana, Good - Bye
There's
been sometime
When I have known you
as friend
But now I am telling
you,
This is the end.
It's time for you to
stand down from your throne
Because God is worthy
of that place alone.
So many a year,
I ran to your beckon
A long winding road
Ending up in the pit.
I listened to lots
that you wanted to say
And awarded you with
starvation some days
But deep down inside
The hole was still
empty
So I filled it with food beyond more than was
plenty.
One day my eyes were
opened to see
The hope you had
stolen away from me.
Too long had I
listened to so many lies,
'Til the day I said "
Lord, I choose today life ."
Full of abundance and
perfect in love
The giver of HOPE, He
took me aside
I want to give you
all that you need
To fight this battle
with Me at your side.
Tightly holding onto
His hand
We run together
straight into this fight
So once again I am
telling you now
This is the end, you
are no longer my friend.
To Ana, Good - Bye
from Denise
Thank you
Denise, for sharing this with us.
